The new loader displays in PAL as the NTSC patcher introduced significant underscan issues. PCSX2 never had issues displaying PAL that needed patching to begin with, and OPL can be configured. If PAL display is an issue for your setup, there's better people to ask than me elsewhere online. ORIGINAL README INFORMATION: ============================ This is an ISO that combines all of the currently available Harmonix GH demos, plus a bonus video, into a single disc with an easy-to-use, official Sony loader interface. Included are: - GH1 Deluge (SLUS-21224) - GH2 OPM "four-song" (SCUS-97538, or OPM #110) - GH2 Retail "ten-song" (SLUS-29198) - GH80's Deluge (SLUS-21586) - A featurette on GH2's development, seen in SCUS-97539, or OPM #111 The Project Deluge builds of GH1 and 80's are debug-enabled. These are also save-enabled; THEY WILL OVERWRITE YOUR EXISTING SAVES IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL. Play with your memory card removed or use a different one if you'd like to save your progress. All demos have been modified slightly from their raw transfers to allow greater access to cut content like unfinished charts or to fit on a single- layer DVD-R, should you choose to use one. A full list of changes are included in the next section. Please note that this disc is intended to make playing or exploring the unfinished content easier, not for datamining! I have edited some of these files, thus, they are not accurate to how these demos were originally. If you're looking to rip audio or assets for use in discs or on sites like The Cutting Room Floor, please seek out the raw transfers of each disc. I don't host them myself anymore, but disc IDs are listed above for your research. CHANGELOG ========= ALL DISCS: - All executables have been hex edited to look for differently-named ARKs than normal - All games initially used MAIN.HDR and MAIN_0.ARK - These now look for ARKs that match their disc title (GH1D, OPMD, 80SD, and 10SD) - To save space, all 44.1KHz VGS files have been downsampled to 32KHz, which should hopefully be utterly transparent to your ears and helped keep this disc fitting on a single-layer DVD-R GH1 DELUGE: - Drivers are set to load out of the I2P folder, as GH1 Deluge uses a different version of the standard Sony drivers than the other demos and this keeps them from conflicting - Most of the songs have had their audio's lengths padded slightly to avoid the infamous "audio too short" softlock bug - I didn't feel like testing all 49 songs to see which had issues when I downsampled them, so I just padded any that looked a bit short as I went along GH2 OPM: - "intro.pss" and the videos folder in the ARK have been removed to save space (this video is a copy of the GH1 intro and isn't actually played) - The lock on the Options and Training menus and on the options in the Pause screen have been removed, enabling access to those menus - Practice is also the only vanilla way to play OPM with a DualShock (I could have changed this in script and decided against it) GH2 RETAIL: - "intro.pss" and the videos folder in the ARK have been removed to save space (this video is a copy of the GH1 intro and isn't actually played) - The script for unlock all has been slipstreamed into the enter block of the main menu, meaning all songs are unlocked at bootup, no code necessary - The lock on the Options menu and on the Pause screen have been removed, enabling access to those menus - "heartshapedbox4ch.vgs" removed to conserve space - "beastandtheharlot_vs.vgs" removed to conserve space - "Collide"'s audio has been padded very slightly to avoid softlocking GH80'S DELUGE: - Six songs needed to have their audio padded slightly to avoid softlocking - Los Angeles - Bathroom Wall - The Warrior - Caught in a Mosh - 18 and Life - Because, It's Midnite - marf somnol.net/marfgh/
